Portable toilet hire is generally associated with building sites and events. From festivals and agricultural shows to industrial sized construction sites, here at euroloo we spend our time travelling up and down the country delivering event toilets and builders loos whenever they’re needed but that’s not all we specialise in. One area of portable toilet hire, where it would seem that no other company can compete, is our emergency portable toilet hire services. With such a service, we now work in conjunction with the armed forces and emergency services on a regular basis. We’ve become so adept at it in fact, that we recently won a contract with the London Fire and Emergency Planning Authority, becoming their sole provider of emergency portable toilet hire 7 days a week, 52 weeks of the year. This past month has seen euroloo extremely busy indeed working with both the armed forces and the emergency services, allowing them to continue providing their first class service without interruptions to their workforce as a result of toilet facilities.
At the very beginning of the month, October 3rd, euroloo were called into action in order to provide emergency portable toilet hire to the Essex Fire and Rescue Service. As you may know, a plane crashed in Chigwell, Essex with two people on board. The light aircraft, which crashed into a field, was 100% alight when emergency services arrived at the scene. This proved to be a somewhat difficult incident and as a result, the fire crews were in need of sanitation facilities. We provided them with 2 emergency portable toilets, allowing them to continue their great work in bringing this incident to a close as efficiently as possible.
On the 17th and 18th October, euroloo were called upon by the Armed Forces to help at one of their events held for injured veterans. The event was hugely popular for both the veterans themselves and those wanting to celebrate our wonderful armed forces and all they do for us. On this occasion we were required to provide them with disabled access toilets for the length of the event, which we were only more than happy to do. Sadly, just a few days later on the 21st October, another plane crash occurred near RAF Lakenheath in Suffolk. As is often the case with a number of emergency situations, we were requested to remain on standby should our services be required. Our thoughts were with all those involved in the fighter jet crash.
Last and most certainly not least, we were contact by the London Fire Brigade to provide emergency portable toilet hire. Firefighters had been called to a shop fire in Hampstead, which had grown and begun to affect the residents living within the flats above it. As a result, the residents had to be rescued (well done LEFPA) and subsequent property protected. This became a protracted incident and as a result, the fire crews were in need of sanitation facilities. We were therefore called upon to provide them with suitable facilities in the form of our emergency portable toilets, which were dispatched quickly and efficiently to the scene of the incident.
